Ensenada at a glance
Ensenada is considered the
city with the best quality of life in México’s North Western region. Located in
Baja California, 70 miles (110 km) south of the California border it is header
of the municipality bearing the same name.
Although Ensenada is a
relatively young city, it proudly lives on a multicultural history forged by
the first indigenous settlers, immigrants from foreign countries and from other
states of México as well. Located in Todos Santos Bay, a region of diverse ecosystems, it has natural
resources and landscapes that are both varied and contrasting.
In addition to the port and
fishing tradition, Ensenada is internationally renowned as a city focused on science and technology. The city stands out for its
primary sector activities, such as fishing, agriculture and mining industry, as well as a wine production that generates more than 90%
of the table wine in México.
